AI hair try-on privacy notice

What we collect

• The photo of yourself you upload or take.
• The looks (pictures) and 360° videos made from it, and the style, length and colour you choose.
• The hair you chose in our hair quiz (length, density, texture), if you start the try-on from there. We don't receive your answers about hair loss.
• Before you upload, we check on your device that your photo shows a face. This check doesn't identify you, and nothing from it is kept.
• A record of your consent: when you agreed and which version of this text you saw.
• If you press "Report" on a look: what was sent to the AI, what came back, and any note you add.

How we use it

Only to create your looks and 360° videos, to keep them in your account if you have one, to look into reports you send us, and to keep the try-on working and secure.

We look at your photo to make your look: we check that it shows a face and read your hair colour so the new hair matches it.

We do not use your photo to identify you or to create a faceprint or facial template, and we do not use it for advertising.

Who receives your photo

Your photo is sent to AI technology providers in the United States that create the try-on pictures and the 360° videos for us, under contracts that:

• let them use your photo only to make your looks for us;
• don't allow them to use it to train or improve their AI;
• let them keep it only to check for misuse of their service, and delete it within 30 days (55 days for the provider that makes the 360° videos).

We don't sell your photo or share it with anyone else. You can ask us for the names of these providers at privacy@superhairpieces.com.

How long we keep it, and how it is destroyed

• Your photo, looks and videos, if you're not signed in: 30 days after they are made.
• Your photo, looks and videos, if you're signed in: for as long as you keep them in your account.
• Looks you send us with "Report": 90 days, to look into the problem.
• In every case: destroyed no later than 1 year after you last used the try-on.

When the time is up, or when you delete them, we permanently delete them from our systems within 30 days, and our providers delete their copies as described above.

Deleting your photo and looks

In the try-on, choose Delete my photo and all my looks (under Your looks, or under your look if you don't have an account). This also withdraws your consent. With an account you can delete a single look too. Or email us at privacy@superhairpieces.com and we'll do it for you.

Your choice

The try-on is optional. You can shop, book a consultation and use everything else on our websites without it.

Where it is processed

Your photo is processed in the United States, outside Canada. While it is there, it is subject to the laws of the United States and may be accessed by its courts, law enforcement and national security authorities. For customers in the European Union and the United Kingdom, these transfers are protected by the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses and, for the United Kingdom, the International Data Transfer Addendum.
